I can only assume that there have been changes at this restaurant having read the other reviews. Nothing that we ate seemed freshly cooked - I think pasta would be a safer option. It was very poor and authentic italian cooking it is not. I like to support local family run businesses but this restaurant is overcharging for the quality of food it is producing and I haven't been served such a tired looking meal for a long time in central London. The young waitress who served us was the only redeeming aspect of the experience.

The best Italian restaurant in the City by far. Good Italian food at a good price, but what makes this restaurant special is the customer service, can't praise it enough

This is the best local eateries in the city. The food is very good, the wine too (even the house is a good standard) but it is the hospitality of the family who run it that marks this as a stand-out place to dine.

I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and love it! Great food, great service and great family that run it. You are not rushed through your meal but can take your time and if you want to stay for hours then you can, as I have! In fact we are due back there this week and I cannot wait!

I have been using the Baracca for 10 years or more. The same family have been doing the same great job all that time. The food is good, simple and great value. The menu has remained consistently enjoyable in all the time my work colleagues and I have been visiting. The service is outstanding. Very friendly and professional. These people know their business. Try it; most people who live or work near the Barbican have done so, and would very happily go back. It's a wonderful place to have a delightful lunch among friends.

Baracca is a small homely place clearly popular with the local residents. Very handy for the Barbican for a pre show meal.
The people are very friendly, authentic Italians. The menu choice is not massive, but adequate and overall it's decent value.
The food is good without being brilliant, but this place is a better bet than a chain. It had a good atmosphere and is a good alternative to the city oriented bars and pubs in nearby Moorgate.
We enjoyed our meal, and if you need to eat before going to the Barbican, look no further.
