Came across this place by accident at lunch time - will be returning v soon! Slightly noisy surroundings and cold draughts from the door opening, but this just adds to the charm and authenticity of the place. The battered squid starter was so tender I thought I had just returned to my favourite restaurant in Venice. Pasta main course was very flavoursome and there was too much of it for me to finish. Partner had cod special with tomatoes and spring onions, beautifully cooked and came with veg included unlike most Italian restaurants - it was delicious and again couldn't eat it all.

Yesterday we went on a Dicken's walk it rained nearly all the time so we were all a little wet. We then went to Attilio's and what a warm welcome we received. The service was top class as was the food, there was 22 of us so thank you very much. I will be going back

I've been living in London for 7 years now, and I like to eat out quite a lot.
Having been to numerous restaurants I can safely say that Attilio is definitely one of the best I've been in.
When it comes to food I'm a fan of everything that comes out of the sea.
Their sea-food spaghetti is the best sea food dish i had in london so far. The portion of sea food is so big, that I sometimes wasnt able to fit in the pasta. It's also unbelievably fresh.
I could go on and on about their food and service but i think the best review is that every time i think of Attilio it puts a smile on my face :)
And from me, its the best review possible.

This is a great 'secret' restaurant. Family owned and run you have this wonderful experience of genuine Italian hospitality, the food is very fresh, interesting and tasty. The portions are on the large side and you need to understand that your expectations should be those of Italian dining, a bit noisy, the front door blows open in strong winds, the atmosphere is fantastic. I just love this place for its authenticity. Slightly scruffy and tired it more than makes up for this with the quality of food and the ambiance. It also is exceptionally good value for money. I just hope that it is never sold to a 'chain', it's one of those places that you just want and hope will last forever.
Have your say
