Great service - as is expected in a Korean restaurant - but not always experienced in some of the "famous" ones in central London.

Delicious food - a feast awaits you but I am not so sure about the Samgaetang - too mushy and not enough zip!

Host and hostess are great people - friendly and helpful.

Music is appropriate and the place is CLEAN and hygienic.

ENJOY! We do - every time!

I go to this restaurant on a regular basis. Being Korean I actually know what to expect from a Korean restaurant and know the food very well. I must say that Korean food in the UK is never going to be as good as that in Korea. However, some of the restaurants here are doing quite well. Most of good Korean restaurants are in this area NOT in central London, with some exceptions, as there is a large Korean community in and around New Malden.

The Phoenix Restaurant ... I must say is a middle of road restaurants with some exceptional dishes (e.g. smoked duck, baked fish, son-dea casserole, spicy squid with rice etc). I like this restaurant very much, as the welcome you receive is great and it is from with genuine Korean waitresses. They don't employ Chinese (who speak poor Korean and are never good at serving food in a Korean style).

The person below claims to spend £60... for one person.... They clearly are not looking at the menu and have no control over their spending as normally our family (of three) spends on average £50 (including tip) and sometimes cannot eat everything...

You do not need to know how to order Korean food to go to this restaurant.... I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and often brings friends and family (non-Korean). I have never heard anyone complain...

I went this restaurant a few times just bcuz easy parking cross road from it. what I noticed this time was the owner is reducing the running cost;
1: not enough food on the table - very little quantity
2: very very cold, no heating at the restaurant I had to wear my coat to keep warm
3: very little side dishes you normally get more when you go by yourself and were very old
5: we paid £60.00 + for the food I did not really enjoy. I had to get a bucket of KFC............
