I must have been there on a bad night because I had a very mediocre biryani with flavours that did not blend and an overweight but under-flavoured nan.For that the price seemed high.

Yes the staff & management were charming and the complimentary brandy much appreciated but I am in no hurry to return; there are just so many REALLY good Indian Restaurants in NW London.

We've been getting takeaways delivered from here for getting on for 20 years! It used to be called Popadum, the name changed but the food didn't. We've tried one or two trendier Indians when leaflets have come through the door, but always returned as the quality is so good. My husband took an Indian friend for dinner there recently for the first time ever and they were impressed by the cleanliness and kind service, said the food tastes even better eaten in. This restaurant is an unsung hero, hence this review.

Yes. The reviews here are correct - it is that good, particularly the subtle flavours of the 'House Specials'

My boyfriend and I have eaten here many times over the years, as well as having food delivered, and this place is consistently fantastic.

The food is wonderful and the portions are decent, especially for the average/reasonable prices.

The staff are always friendly, attentive and accomodating.

After visiting 20+ times and having regular takeaway this is a consistently good restaurant. The service is efficient and genuine and the food is tasty and perfectly cooked every time. The complementary brandy after the meal always goes down well! Keep up the good work.

Having had amazing indian restaurants around the corner in other parts of london i have lived in i was very very happily surprised by Tahera when i found it after having moved to Belsize park, both with their take away and in restaurant dining, the people working there is very pleasant, it's no fuss, easy and friendly. The fod is really really good, fresh and dosent feel as heavy as indian can do sometimes. Please support this local jewel.
