All In London Review
On a sunny day it is bliss to sit in the covered outdoor area and admire the mighty river Thames
It was here, around five years ago, where I rediscovered the joys of rose wine – a white Zinfandel to be precise. I had a chilled glass on a sunny Sunday afternoon and thus recommenced my romance with rose.
The staff are mostly French. A good sign when eating French food. And, like a good brasserie, you won’t go wrong by ordering the steak-frites. One of my favourites. But the menu is extensive so don’t be put off if you are not a great meat eater. Some of my vegetarian friends are regular diners here with me.
It’s not cheap. But the food is really first class. And the wine and service are both well above average. The covered outside area (which is heated in the winter) means that you get a good view of the riverside.
It’s absolutely perfect for couples on a Sunday afternoon and a fabulous place for a group of you to go. They are even pretty good with families and kids. And it always impresses me that there are often French and other Europeans eating there. You can’t get a better recommendation than that.
