Max Orient

Terrible all round. Not one good thing to say about this place.

Unwelcoming, rude staff. Very very poor selection of food. One vegetarian option, which was tofu and vegetables - which was contaminated with duck!!! Other food was very very stale, tasteless and cold.

Desserts were two types of dry cake and fruit. We got served water in a dirty jug also, which we had to ask for four times. Left hungry. Would never come back again.

I've been to few Chinese buffets but this is my favourite :) The food is pretty nice in there and as most buffets I've been to it's not so loud at least not as loud as restaurants at China Town. I really like max orient and that's why I plan to have my 18th Birthday lunch/dinner there :3

If only I could give it less than 1 star: This place is awful any review that says it is good seems to be quite old. They no longer boost no MSG in their food in fact the menu now says eat tasty food with MSG (they have crossed out the no). The selection was terrible and the quality worse and all this for £8.80 that is a shocking price even for camden. There is also a £5 food wastage charge and a £4.50 dogey bag charge. The service is rubbish and the longer you stay in this place the more annoyed you feel for the price you have to pay for such an awful lunch. Don't go there unless you're looking for a crap meal.

I went here for my christmas dinner, in 2008, it was a great experience, the food was great, had a great range of cocktails, and drinks, all of which were reasonably priced.
Im actualy going back this november 09, for my birthday, as I had such a great time, the atmosphere was nice with the water fountain in the back ground.

We ate in Max Orient Camden buffet restaurant last Sunday. what a delight to eat in a restaurant where the food presentation was spectacular and great to eat. Reasonably priced and a great buffet choice of dishes, it put the restauarnts in Soho to shame. We will definately be going back.
