Went there for a late lunch & had their vegetable pie with mash. I must say, I wasn't overly impressed with what I was eating. It was average & not worth the price they were charging.
Initially we were sat outside but the cold wind led us inside & the tables are rather amusing, it was a little like being back at school (as the name would suggest). Overall, okay but not great food. Both of us had pies, one vegetarian & one with meat.

Went for lunch last weekend and was pleasently surprised by the decor - the name suggested something pretty basic and 'rustic' but it was quite elegantly, but simply done. The food is difficult to judge as we both had ploughmans, although if I'm honest I wasn't overly impressed with that - one big slab of cheese, small amount of pickle and apple pieces was all that came along with the bread. For nearly £9 I'd hoped for a bit more - more cheese sorts, grapes perhaps?? Anyway, I'll definitely try it again as I reckon the 'proper' food may well be better. The service was great.
