The Portobello Organic Kitchen

The food was real and delicious and the wine was good too.

One thing shocked me though. It's an organic restaurant and the food appears to be very carefully sourced.

BUT: One of the (lovely) team members came around just after we'd finished eating to spray chemical cleaner on the just vacated tables beside us.

HOW: Can the food be organic when the tables have toxic chemicals all over them.

I'm eating clean, but ingesting chemicals through the spray, my skin etc. That's a real lack of congruency, that is just plain wrong.

Management have made a real error here.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The atmosphere is extremely friendly and their food superb!
I can honestly say that they make the best pizzas I ever tasted. I went their with a friend of mine,
late lunch/early dinner, and they really take good care of you. Both of us are coming back here no doubt!

My wife and I recently had dinner at the Portobello Organic Kitchen and we will not be going back anytime soon. In order of concern, we found the staff rude and unhelpful, the food very average and also the name misleading. The staff made my wife feel bad for asking for her main course, which was truly awful, to be sent back and even charged us for it even though 95% of the food was still on the plate. I'm sure there are some dishes that the restaurant does which are fine, but we weren't served them. The other issue I have with the place itself is that it is really just an average Italian restaurant which happens to use organic ingredients, as they claim. Therefore I found the menu very limited and the name misleading. If you must, do not go there during the winter as the main door opens straight into the restaurant (there is no entrance hall/bar area) so with every opening of the door you get a rush of cold air in and as it is quite a small space, you can't escape it.

So glad that my wife and i went out of our way to go here, food outstanding. Chicken with saffron asparagus risotto rice, seafood tagliatelle, sticky toffy pudding, Best meal out for along time.

You must try their sirloin steak(it will melt in your mouth) and sticky toffee pudding(the best in the whole world). I wud visit every day if i can. Dont miss out on ordering fresh bread basket, its worth every penny of it.... enjoy

This restaurant is really good, the food was upto a high standard and tasted fantastic, I went with a few friends and they all want to go back. The prices are reasonable and the service was good and I really enjoyed a quite night out in this restaurant. I would really recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I went to Portobello few times and I am never desapointed. Great Food and Wine. Nice to find some good ingredients in your plate and share some good wines with friends. I will recommend the experince!

I went to this restaurant last weekend and I have to say the food is fantastic. I love the fact that it is all organic and the prices arent extortionate. I was expecting to spend more then I did. It was a friendly atmosphere and cosy little restaurant and I will definately be going back. If u like organic food and want a healthy option, definately try this restaurant. The food tasted really fresh and cooked to perfection, and the bread is freshly baked and u can taste the difference. Definately recommend. 5*
