Excellent value for money. Nice wine list too!
Went with a few chinese friends - we are fussy eaters.
Enjoyed thoroughly and will go back.
Thanks.

I had a takeaway of just Singapore Fried Rice and the portion was very generous! Tasty too. It was a realistic waiting time. I can't really comment about service but I smiled and got a smile back, works for me!

Most of the food in this Restaurant is OK but beware of SIZZLE PLATTERS exploding all around you and polluting the atmosphere in a very small room. The quarter crispy duck and pancakes gets shredded in the kitchen out of site instead of before you at the table as in every other Chinese Resuarant and is obviosly NOT A FULL QUARTER DUCK PORTION. Also if you order a QUARTER of crispy duck (TAKEAWAY )and pancakes they ALWAYS remove/ TRIM about 2-3 ounces of the portion so you do not actually get the whole quarter duck.. They must keep all these off cuts and then they have enough meat for another £8 portion.

The best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to, not just in England but anywhere in the World. A truly magical experience.
Allow me to run through some of the unique signature dishes that I tried:

- Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls: Contain virtually no chicken and a luminous sauce which is neither sweet nor sour.

- Crab Claws: Served in a special “homemade” Chinese Sauce known in the UK as Worcester Sauce. My Cantonese is by no means fluent but I was able to ascertain that the name of this dish is ‘Crab in the loosest sense of the word Claws’.

- Bang Bang Chicken. Nine strips of white “meat” served on a bed of greenish cucumber alternative topped off with a jar of cornershop own brand peanut butter. I love an eatery that is committed to using local produce.

- Szechwan Beef: Keeps you guessing as it does not contain any beef and is served with stir-fried peppers in a scrumptious sauce made from that awful ketchup you get in greasy spoon cafes, vinegar, and two persons guideline weekly allowance of rock salt.

- Singapore Rice Noodles: A wonderful dish that I would most certainly consider eating again if I was homeless and on the verge of starvation or had a massive crack habit. Sparked a fascinating debate on the difference between prawns and shrimps. (Apparently it's all in the gill structure - shrimp have branching gills, while prawns have lameller gills).

- Chicken in Black Bean Sauce: An excellent twist on a classic dish. The ‘black bean sauce’ is created by cooking the ingredients on the face of the sun until they go black and create several gloopy bean shaped lumps of congealed sauce. Highly recommended.

In addition the staff have a phenomenal sense of humour demonstrated when they cracked up at my off-the-cuff quip about the food tasting like something a deposed African despot would eat in prison.
I am pleased to report that my stomach cramps only lasted for 16 hours and that my girlfriend was only marginally disturbed by the experience.
