The staff is unfriendly once you are in the fully packed place. Leftovers from one plate were put on the other persons one, while she was still eating.Staff is pushy, trying to get you to order the most expensive meal. They open the menu at the most expensive page and don't want you to look through the menu yourself. Plates are removed while some of the group are still eating. Beware of the service charge. 10%!!! They are totally not worth the price they are charging. Tourist Trap!

We have just had a meal at this restaurant. The food was bland and they charged for the chutneey which came with the samosa's which we had for a starter. The menu was overpriced.

Where were all the customers? I had a meal here in December 2011, early evening, and was the only person eating. The food was great, and obviously the service was good too, as I was outnumbered by staff. If I'm in the area again and want a curry, this is where I'd come.

We ate early dinner here July 12, 2011. The food was marvelous, the service attentive and quick. The restaurant was absolutely empty (so no elbow room issues whatsoever). We would love to come back and eat there again. Recommended.

I think previous rewiews were rather harsh. I dine at the Maharaja Tandoori's very often and always found it satisfactory. It used to be really sublime 30 years ago and then the usual process of commercialisation and Americanisation has become almost overwhelming. It is still good, but no longer marvellous

To start they pack you in like Sardines within 3 inches of the next occupied table irrespective of the toally number of unoccupied tables. The service was slow, and food was the worst I have had in over 30 years of visiting (at least twice per week) Indian Restaurants all over the country. By my maths I've probably had 4000+ Indian Restaurant meals and this fell 50% short of the worst! Remember Vesta Curries??? - then add on 10% service charge for the meal to be chucked at you, a waiter hover and remove every dish as whenand it looks like it could be half eaten, and you've just about got the sum of this place! Your choice, but I'd suggest a Curry Flavour Pot Noodle instead!!

Food was poor. Service wasn't very good. Agree with the other two reviews, for the price they charge portions are tiny. Staff is not very friendly

Food was average, service consisted of bring the food 2 feet to my table from the service hatch for which they wanted a mandatory 10% service charge on top of the already overly high prices. Side dishes were miniscule. Poor value for money, avoid.

If you want to be served by Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, this is the best place to visit:

It started nicely with a smily, helpfull waitor.

It ended up with one of his colleagues visiting my table every 30 seconds asking me "Finished sir?", while I was still eating

On each one of these visits, he picked up everything that he found empty, ending up grabbing my empty glass away, while I was still eating.

Highlight: He pulled the the tablecloth under my elbows, while another colleague was hoovering!

Have your say
