This is a gem of a place small unassuming with lovely friendly, helpful staff. Its very Bulgarian so my friend told me and it felt so. Its surrounded by many noisey Turkish neighbours but what makes this different and stand alone is the food its superb but be warned go hungry cos you wont be when you leave..
The menu isnt easy to read but help is on hand, the grills are huge and come on wodden platters. It looks Meze in style dont be fooled the portions are huge and great for sharing. Cheese is in abundance in a good few of the choices, the salads are immense but so good and not laden with heavy dressings, oil and vinegar is on the table.
Beautiful sesame crusted fresh bread is presented on sitting with lovely juicy olives. It is obvious the chef loves Bulgarian food as it is cooked with love and a good heart, very fresh and home made, the grandmothers potatoes are amazing cooked gratin style in cottage cheese yum..There are casserole style dishes laden with meat, mushrooms, onions and sweet peppers I could go on...
It was quiet on the Monday evening we went but ive heard come the weekend there are lines of hungry people down the street waiting for a table, im not suprised. Please go you will not be disappointed. 2 hefty starters and 2 heftier mains 2 bulgarian beers 2 soft drinks cost a mere £32.00 such value, I absolutely love it here cant wait to return..
