I have been eating at La Mancha for many years, love the food, tapas is the best and the staff are very nice mostly. My main gripe is they add 12.5% service on to the bill, I think thats a bit cheeky.
But I keep coming back, so it must be good!

I have been a customer of La Mancha since my Spanish friend recommended it to me.

I now go regularly with family and the food is always excellent, Love the scallops in bacon and calamari.

I recently went with a large group from work and they also found it to be a really good choice.

My girlfriend and I went to La Mancha last night for the first and last time. The clue that the place was terrible should have been the Margarita that consisted of tequila, ice and straight lime juice with the salt dissolved in. Revolting and promptly sent back. Foolishly ordered a mix of pretty standard dishes. All were without exception absolutely terrible.

Of 6 dishes we left 5 virtually untouched and I only ate the Calamari out of sheer bloody mindedness. The place was expensive (£50 for two with no wine), the service poor and the food, without doubt the worst I've ever attempted to eat.

I've never taken the service charge off a bill before in my life. £5.02 seemed little compensation for a ruined night, but it did pay for the kebab I needed to fill me up after this place.

Never, never again.

I went to La Mancha last night for dinner. The food and general service was ok but the manager was so rude. After taking one sip of the house Rioja - I sent it back saying there was something wrong with it. I instead ordered a bottle of wine which was fine. When the bill came they had charged us for the two glasses of house wine. The head waiter/manager (grey hair and glasses) then proceeded to tell me no one else had complained and it was my problem. After a ten minutes shouting match he agreed to refund me for the wine that wasn't consumed. It totally ruined our evening.
How is this place in business - does no one complain?

I went to La Mancha a couple of days ago with my parents to celebrate my step dad's birthday. Although our waiter was very helpful in helping us to choose what to eat the head waiter (or owner?) was miserable and served us our food with a straight face all evening. All three of us then spent the next 2 days recovering from severe food poisoning and when we rang the restaurant to let them know we got a non-commital "well no one else was sick" response. Most people don't even bother reporting this type of thing exactly because of this sort of response. We weren't after a refund - just wanted to let them know. I also had to delay my flight back to the US for 2 days at great expense to
