This restaurant is awful myself and my husband booked through wowcher upon arrival the waiter pointed to a table and walked off when he finally decided to come back with menus his attitude was simply you can have this or this not this and walked off again when he came to take our order he started to take it then promptly walked off to sea with someone else. My husband then couldn't decide what he would like to drink so was told by the waiter "you will have a coke" when he said he didn't want a coke he was told very aggressively "do u want a drink or not" I cannot comment on the food as w

The steak at this restaurant is great, but the problem is the the service. We were overcharged and on querying this the manager and waitress became hostile which culminated in us being thrown out and SPAT at by the manager. I would advise anyone against visiting this disgusting restaurant.

Myself and my boyfriend were extremely happy with our trip to El Toro, the food was delicious, the rib-eye steak was melt in the mouth! Veg (carrot and courgette) and chips were lovely too, as were the garlic mushroom starters. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the place was very busy! Overall, completely satisfied and have just booked to go again. I think there are too many sour-mouthed, hard to please people these days, El Toro is great and for £15 we were over the moon!!

Hi there!
We went to this nice argentinian restaurant on easter saturday. We had a woucher which included 2 starters and 2 steaks for 17 pounds, which we found very good. All the food was spot on, nice soup, nice enpanadas, the steaks were very tasty, cooked for as it we asked it. The servis was very nice, the wine selection is good. We had lots of fun, and very nice food. And at the end we recieved another woucher with the same offer, so we are gonna come back for sure.
I can just recommend it for everybody who wants to eat nice food for affordable price. I dont understand the rewiews before, its like it would be for another restaurant.
The place is very nice, the waiters are friendly. Its a nice place to eat

The reviews for this restaurant are unbelievable. What sort of whining douche bag complains about getting 2 starters and 2 steaks for £17? We went their tonight and got the same deal with a groupon voucher. Everything was perfectly okay. It wasn't fine dining, but the steaks were really good and the ambience and service were more than adequate. It is so irresponsible of people to post reviews that make the restaurant sound like a dustbin, just because one or two things went wrong.

May I remind you that you live in Britain and that no one else on earth, apart from worms, has such a low standards when it comes to food. You're lucky that foreigners, like these Argentinians, opens restaurants here so you don't have to eat baked beans every night.

The only food we order that ok was the fries. We ordered a Tres carne(rump, sirloin, fillet) and a 8oz rib eye steak, which we asked them to be cooked to medium rare. The main problems of the steaks were as follow:
The meat does not taste fresh and the texture was like it was frozen for a long time.

The steaks were all cut opened by the chef to check the doneness of the steaks, so their juice could not be sealed inside itself but to leak onto the plate.

We saw the chef kept flipping the steaks on the grill when cooking them. A good chef should only flip a steak once when cooking it and clearly whoever was cooking the steaks was far from being good or even being qualified.

The fillet was cooked to well done, when it was reported to the waiter, he asked ‘what do you want me to do?’ As I had already gained an insight of their ability of cooking by that time, I dare not to send the dish back and ask for another one. I asked if he can give us another glass of wine as compensation, he checked with the manager and refused. By that time I was completely disappointed and kept regretting for going to that restaurant.

We had exactly the same type of problem as the previous reviewer with our KGB vouchers. The manager, Sultan, confronted us in advance of ordering and insisted that we could only have the smallest and cheapest cuts of meat with the voucher no matter what it said. He adamantly refused to allow the sides and salads to be included in the meal cost (even though both the menu and the voucher said they were included) and was extremely sarcastic and nasty. This was so bad that we left before ordering and I am now seeking my money back from KGB and compensation. I urge all KGB users who have similar experiences with El Toro to feed this back to KGB so that they know. I am hoping that KGB will boycot the restaurant for refusing to honour the deals they struck. The manager's excuses for not honouring the voucher in full ranged from KGB having printed them incorrectly through to not making enough profit by honouring them in full.

In addition to the voucher problem, I noticed that only two of the waitresses spoke English (they were very pleasant, but very scared of the manager) and the rest appeared very ill at ease in a restaurant. I got the impression that the two English speakers were about to move on to other work so that will mean even worse service in the future. The restaurant itself was grubby (the steak knives in particular were very scruffy, with dirty looking holes where rivets should be) and it is not only isolated but also a bit desolate. I notice there are one or two passable reviews of the place, but it is so far away from the centre, and so unreliable that it does not seem worth the risk when there are so many other good restaurants in London, more central and more reliably good.

My verdict is that the place needs totally new management and a good clean up and if the meat really is good, start to build up a client base again. Until that's been proven, avoid at all costs.

Went there last night, with a deal i bought from KGB deals, the deal was £17 for 2 steaks and 2 starters. Steak wasnt great at all. We had a bottle of wine which cost £18 and later had 2 glasses of wine which cost £10!!!! and they charged us extra for the steak, we ordered 400g the waiter said we could have any size! and they charged us £7.95 (10%) service fee total charge of the actual hole dinner!!!!! our bill was £34!! + £17 vochure from KGB deal. Just went their tonight. They claim to have the best steaks but they wont. The service was far from perfect and the staff seemed very disinterested and not attentive at all. For friday night it was half full and wouldnt go back again. This place could be great because they have a great menu but the owner cleary hasnt trained the staff properly and I doubt very much it will last.
