PizzaExpress has expanded enormously over the years and now has a staggering number of outlets. The simple menu and kitchen concept has retained its freshly made ideal and you can still watch your pizza being prepared for you. This branch can cater for private parties upon request and seating on the terrace area is provided, weather permitting. A takeaway service is also provided.

I recently moved to west hampstead. Last Thursday night I went my friends to my new local Pizza express, and I must say I was impressed. We had a fantastic time!!! Although they seemed quite busy, everyone who served us was attentive and very friendly! We had to wait for a bit for a table but we were sat a this very comfy sofas near a beautiful Grand piano and were offered drinks straight away!!!!It didn't feel like we were waiting at all! The food was great! Must try their dolcetti, we had them by recommendation of the manageress, and loved them! Specially the Cafe real! The atmosphere was fantastic. I'm glad to have found our local!!!

Let me start by saying that i have never complained about a restaurant, until now.
Our group of 12 adults arrived at 6.30pm. We had to wait 45 minutes for someone to take our order and a further 45 minutes to be served. It was sweltering hot and we did not get our first round of water or drinks for nearly half an hour. My lemonade arrived in a warm Sprite bottle, no glass and no ice. The wine was cheap and the water jug contents luke warm.
My risotto was void of the promised greens, tasteless and overly soggy.
My mother always says 'judge a good restaurant by the cleanliness of the bathroom' On visiting the bathroom, we found the ladies services dirty, with no toilet roll, no soap dispenser and nowhere to dry ones hands! mmm! lovely! this is a far cry from the days when fresh flowers and sparkly clean floors were the norm for this venue.
By 9.30pm we were too tired of waiting for the dessert menu, deciding instead to settle for tea and coffee. We waited a further 45 mins for the tea to arrive.
By 10.30 we finished our tea - A four hour meal; i was hungry again!
We regularly eat at this venue and have watched the quality of service decline rapidly. We intended to go again next week with a group of 20, but instead we have decided to book another venue within walking distance.
I am saddened to have to write my first complaint ever, but this is deserving.
Liz
