Excellent food! Comped poppadoms with dips, large cobra beer and rice. I would've given 9 but they don't accept debit card, only cash and obscurely cheques.

I moved to the west hampstead area a few months ago. After trying a quite a few indians in the area, some of which were recommended by the previous owners of my house, we weren't impressed with any of them. Ruchi however is fantastic! I regularly introduce people to it and take large groups there. When you order a take-away, it always arrives on time, often with a couple of cheeky cobra beers and poppadoms all complimentary. They do everything well and would recommend it to anyone.

I collected a chicken bhuna after ordering it over the phone - to say i was disappointed is putting it mildly. It consisted of a few chunks of chicken in a brown sludge swimming in oil. A supermarket ready meal curry offers more. There was no flavour, no spices, no nothing, just a couple of bits of tomatoe in this tasteless brown sludge. I did something i have never done before and rang them to tell them how unhappy i was - they offered me a discount on my next meal - i told them i was interested in decent food not discounts. If i could give them nought out of ten i would do.

This is a great local indian restaurant. The food is yummy and very reasonably priced. Much better food than some other more well known places. When you get a take-away they often give you a beer for free as well! Really lovely and would reccommend.

Ruchi is very nicely set out with good table displays and half the seats outside for the warm summer evenings. Its the ideal setting for a romantic dinner. Just look at their own web site.

The service is good and efficient and the inside decor pastel blue with large paintings. The prices are very reasonable at about £15 a head with a drink.

The food is freshly cooked and very tasty but a word of advice would be for the chef to use less salt! Some of the dishes have too much oil as well. I know this sounds rather negative but the food really is good but could be even better!

This restaurant is popular with well dressed couples in their 30s and 40s who like a smart place.
