Spanish tapas have been elevated to fine dining in London, and this is in no small part thanks to Brindisa, where Jose Pizarro was chef partner for five years. After leaving here, he opened he fantastic sherry and tapas bar Jose, before launching Pizarro, a full size restaurant.
The menu has conventional starters and main courses rather than tapas dishes, inspired by food from rural Spain and using ingredients he’s sourced from local markets. The restaurant is located on Bermondsey Street, an area which has recently become a trendy destination for London’s foodies.
