Taking over the site of the renowned ‘Notting Hill Brasserie’ on Kensington Park Road, Notting Hill Kitchen brings with it a new and exciting take on modern Portuguese and Spanish cuisine.

The famous spot has been snapped up by a group of food and wine enthusiasts with a wealth of experience in both the restaurant and wine trade, who aim to introduce the best ingredients Portugal and Spain have to offer under the cuisine of award winning Chef Luis Baena. With eclectic menus focusing on exquisite seasonal produce and a buzzing and vibrant atmosphere created by a top Spanish interior designer, Notting Hill Kitchen will bring a much needed new life to this area of Notting Hill.

The Notting Hill Kitchen menu is set to offer a selection of grazing dishes and shared plates throughout the day in its Spanish style bar as well as a more classic three course meal at lunch and dinner. A selection of dishes include Alentejo D.O.P Pork Cheek Confit with Truffled Bread & Bacon Crumble, Slow Cooked Iberian Milk-Fed Baby Lamb, Sauteed Fillet Of Atlantic Turbot with Sweet Potatoes and Celery Purée & Garlic Chips, Seared Pink Swordfish, with Seaweed and Dashi Creamed Rice & Azores Cheese.

To accompany the dishes there will be an outstanding vintage wine selection with over 200 references.

Having worked with top chefs such as Paul Bocuse and with experience cooking across the globe from Madrid to Sao Paulo and Hong Kong, chef Luis will be devising a menu that focuses on the finest artisanal Portuguese & Spanish ingredients sourced through his network of small producers that he has built up over the past 30 years

Popped in late on a Saturday eve and were seated in the window by the bar.
We ordered some cocktails(which were great)and shared some tapas between two of us(pata negra, spider crab brioche, croquetas, mini-burger and cheese), pata negra and brioche are amazing!! All of the food was yummy and served when ready so adds to the atmosphere of a great relaxed bite.
The atmosphere is fairly intimate, lighting is dimmed, warm and cosy and music is at a good level. I found all of the staff to be attentive and in good spirits!
I will certainly be going back...and maybe try the restaurant next time!

Fantastic cocktail bar and very good tapas!
Went with a few friends on Thursday night and had a great time. The bar was full and buzzing. We started with the house cocktails and moved on to some "new creations" from the bartender that were different and very good. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable on both cocktails and wine. We also had some tapas which were good, I would recommend the pata negra and the Jamon croquetas...nonetheless cocktails were the big winners.
We had a great time and will be coming back for sure to the bar and to try the main restaurant.

Went with the family and had a great dining experience!
Started by having a drink at the bar, which wasn’t full but had a good buzz. We moved to our table and immediately presented with an excellent bread choice and amazing olive oil. The waiter recommended us a Spanish wine that was delicious and very well priced and what followed was outstanding!
Both starters and mains were spot on. On the mains, my personal preferences lead me to try the berlengas sword fish whish was a clear 5 out of 5, but the grilled porc neck was at the same level.
On the desert side, the nata is a must!

Whether you are genuinely interested in Iberian food or just want to have a great time I really recommend Notting Hill Kitchen. Both the tapas and the wine menu are very varied and really good value (the pata negra is a steal) If you go at night, they have a great cocktail bar too. Definitively worth a try!
