Let us show you where the beautiful ones go... and work...

In a very short space of time Chiltern Firehouse has become the hangout for celebrities, their hangers-on and the paps who want to shoot them. They’ve got Nuno Mendes in charge of the kitchen but nobody is here for the food; go for the exclusive atmosphere and to ogle the supermodel-like staff.

Who doesn't love a challenge?

Owned by famous hotelier Andre Balazs, the kitchen is headed up by the just as famous Nuno Mendes, formerly of the much-missed Viajante. Their crab doughnuts have generated almost as many headlines as their celebrity regulars, who pile in after fashion parties and premieres. To get in, go for lunch or brunch at the weekend.

A perennial celebrity hotspot, this buzzy restaurant offers great cocktails, service and food, courtesy of Nuno Mendes' ingredients-led menu.

I'm not sure that the Chiltern Firehouse has quite earned the hype its received, but it certainly is an excellent restaurant with warm, professional and efficient service. It has a stylish look about it (kind of a slick canteen with an open kitchen area). We got in early (pre hype) but friends recently wanted to book a table and they have no hope for at least 3 months!
