Chef Pascal Aussignac’s roots are in evidence at this restaurant, where the menu focuses on food from the south west of France. Michelin-starred Club Gascon is part of a growing group of restaurants owned by the chef, which includes Le Cercle, Cigalon, and bistro Comptoir Gascon. Club Gascon is located within a former Lyons Tea House building, a dramatic setting for this highly praised establishment.

A five course tasting menu changes each month; additionally there is a lunchtime set menu for £25 that includes three courses, representing fantastic value for cooking of this level.

We decided to eat at club gascon as we wanted a good night out at a fantastic restaurant for a reasonable price, which club gascon certainly offers. but it didn't take long to work out why it was so reasonably priced.
We felt the restaurant was lacking in ambience and atmosphere, the service was lacking and frankly the tasting menu lacked flavour and that 'wow' factor you expect from a michelin star restaurant.
On asking for our service charge to be removed as we didn't feel it was deserved we were met by a very very glassy reception and our coats were simply dumped by the front door as we left. Not what you expect after spending nearly 200 pound for a meal for 2!
having said that some of the tasting menu was delicious but on a whole it lacking brilliance!
