I had a dinner at Shezan with my boyfriend. We very appreciated the warm welcoming by the man dressed in traditionnal clothes. As we are French, it was difficult for us to read the menu but our waiter helped us to choose our dishes. Great surprise, the food was excellent, the service a bit slow but when you taste your food, you don`t care. If we go to London again, we will go to the restaurant again!

I was given a very warm welcome on our arrival by a man dressed in traditional clothes, the food was traditional untouched with any fusion style one which is usually served nowadays in other upmarket indian restaurants that kinda doesnt give feeling that u've had indian food. Service was quick and staff was quite friendly which served each dish with a smile!

I enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere of a luxurious restaurant. I will definately come again with a special friend :-D

I went to Shezan's last Saturday evening, after phoning them and they advised us to reserve a table. Upon arrival we walked down the stairs into the restaurant and were amazed to find we were the only customers there (8pm Saturday night!!!!). The initial greeting wasn't particularly friendly, the attitude came across that we had disturbed them!! On giving our orders to the elderly maitre D, he then persuaded us to change our orders to his recommended selections.

We waited for what seemed like hours for our food to arrive, and upon arrival, throughout the whole meal, we were watched, no surrounded by 3 of the waiting staff, including the maitre D whilst we ate our food, making it a very uncomfortable experience indeed. And if we had £1 for every time the maitre D told us they had been there 42 yrs (hard to believe) we would be very rich men indeed.

The food was mostly dry, customer service lack lustre, and upon arrival of the bill we were shocked at the prices we were about to pay. The final shock was that they handed us a customer review card, which we gladly filled in, and the last person out, swears they binned the comment card.

This place certainly needs the Gordon Ramsey / Marco Pierre White "lesson" to turn them around and make them customer friendly.

I would not recommend this restaurant unless it was the last place on earth!!!!

We had dinner at Shezan this evening. The experience was disappointing. The food was at best mediocre.

However I am more concerened with the way bookings are made. Having booked a table for fourteen early this morning I was assured they would have a table ready and waiting. On arrival we were kept waiting forty-five minutes in the waiting area and then we were offered two separate tables.

There was a space available which was being held for another party which hadn't arrived. The restaurant was double booked. After a further forty five minutes and lengthy discussion with the manager we were given a a table on the
other side of the restaurant which was suitable.

However dining on the quieter side of the restaurant led to further disappointment. The service was extremely slow and customers on this side of the restaurant were ignored. The mixed grill starter arrived late and cold.

Having ordered our starter whilst we were waiting, we were shocked with the slow service. As we were led to our table most diners were leaving and the restaurant was not as busy as when we arrived.

I wouldn't reccomend an evening dining at this overpriced restaurant serving mediocre food and the worst service I have ever experienced.

Visted Shezan earlier this week. Total party of 5. Arrived at 8.30 pm.Only one customer just finishing dinner, otherwise totally empty.
Very bad decor. they have hung a dirty yellow curtain towards the kitchen, in an attempt to conceal work being done.
We ordered several starters and 4 main dishes. The Kebab platter was awful. The chops hard and raw, undercooked, kebabs hard.
We ordered wine, very expensive at £ 40 a bottle.
Main course arrived. We were off food by then and asked for balance to be packed. Next day, when containers opened, hardly any food in these. Called them and waited for Manager to call back. NO CALL BACK.
NEVER AGAIN WILL GO THERE.Bill was over £ 300. A total RIP OF

excellent restaurant, would definitely reccommend it if you are in the area.i travel to knightsbridge just for the food atleast once a week. it is a very calm restaurant offering great value for money.it is now also being refurbished in the side room and i think it will look absolutely fabulous.we booked several parties there and wedding receptions and we have never been dissappointed! i must say that the staff are also very friendly. they offer a thorough service and you truly feel special. on arrival, the door was opened by a doorman dressed in traditional indian clothing. we enjoyed our meals very much, 10 stars!
