NCR is the perfect antidote to the over-priced, pretentious genre of middle rate restaurants which have sprung up everywhere in London in the last 5/10 years.
Service is fast, food is cheap and very good. My husband and I dined here last night for £30 - starters were garlic prawns and pork dumplings, mains roast duck and roast pork filet + vegetables and 1 portion of steamed rice. We drank Jasmine tea. We were in and out in 45 minutes, but never felt hurried. We left, wallets intact, feeling we had eaten sufficiently and well. It's not pretty, but some of the best value in the area.
The New Culture Revolution is part of a chain of restaurants that offer food which has drawn its inspiration from northern China; it is dominated by dumpling and noodle dishes. These restaurants are great for an everyday healthy meal.
