I have been to san lorenzo several times over the years through invitation, it's not somewhere I would choose to go to. However, my parents went there recently and wee served frozen bread (which they were charged for) and when they complained the manager was extremely rude to them. waste of money.

I have lived in Wimbledon for years and always wondered what the food in San Lorenzo was like. Now I've finally eaten there I wish I hadn't bothered!

Four of us went for a light meal on a Friday evening and managed to get some seats quite easily in the conservatory area. The restaurant was quite busy which is normally an encouraging sign.

We order a couple of pizzas, 1/2 litre of beer, a glass of wine and a sharing seafood platter.

Where to begin- the pizzas were bland, dry and generally seemed to be missing any 'normal' ingredients other than the couple of toppings it came with. The seafood was overcooked and tasteless and considering the price (£15.95) was terrible value for money. Talking of which one small glass of house red wine was £7.95 and the beer was £4.95. When we queried the cost of the wine the restaurant admitted that it had made a mistake- it was in fact £6.95.

The only positive thing I can say about the restaurant was that the service was good and that it's a nice looking restaurant.

Personally I would avoid this place as there are far better restaurants to choose from.

Most probably the worst meal I have ever had in my life! The food was terribly overspiced, herbed, had freezer taste on the soup, the pizza was served warm and was bad, the service was aloof and then when we addressed the problems, we were told off in a very rude way! We will never go here again - I don't know how it has lasted so long!

Having just moved into the area, I was thrilled to find, a short walk between the station and village,a fantastic, friendly local Italian with truly authentic food. The cuisine at this site is much better than at the other restaurant in knightsbridge, run by the same family, the prices were very reasonable too.The pizzas were amazing - the best in london! I was delighted to discover that there was a special v.low priced kids menu and that I can also join up for regional wine and food tasting evenings.I felt compelled to applaud the staff at San Lorenzo Fuoriporta publicly and thank them for the delicious food and wine that I enjoyed so much the other night.I will definitely be back for more.

Seven of us ate Sunday lunch here and had a thoroughly enjoyable meal until a large shard of glass was found in the calf’s liver. Accidents happen but the way it was dealt with put a dampener on the celebratory lunch and I certainly would not recommend the restaurant. We were told that it was impossible for the glass to have come from them as they did not have any glass in the kitchen. Our wine bottles were inspected to make sure we hadn’t cracked the bottom (we hadn’t!) and after a quick apology that was it. We were charged full price for the entire meal and nothing more was said about it. It was extremely dangerous and the least I expected was for the dish to be taken off our bill. £17

Excellent Italian food in a cosmopolitan atmosphere. I have been there many times and have really enjoyed every single time. I thoroughly recommend it.
