Hot and spicy: London's best curry houses
If you're out on the town and in the mood for a Ruby then be sure to refer to our list of London's best.
Cyrus Todiwala's award-winning restaurant serves a mixture of classic (in some cases historical) and contemporary Indian food. You'll find Goan prawn curry and springbok bhuna, aniseed-infused venison tikka and "country captain", an Indian take on Shepherd's Pie which according to them is the earliest example of fusion cooking. Taj-trained Todiwala was awarded an OBE in 2010.

The restaurant has good ambience and service. However, the food is mediocre (Horrible is a better word). Also, they cheat on the billing and try to stuff you with extras. Bad experience !
Our order - Naan, Maa ki Daal, Dal Tadka, Paneer Saagwalla
Good - Ma ki daal , Daal Tadka
Bad - Panner
Horrible - Naans
Worst part - Billing !! Forced chutneys and Papads on us, charged higher than their menu price ...
