The staff where very friendly and the food was great. Finished off our saturday with a bang. very nice restuarant and will be back.

I dithered between an 9 or a 10 for The Empress, I've been visiting on and off since 1994 and its always been my favourite London curry house. The service is good, the food excellent and the quality excellent. Anything you want off the menu is a challenge for the cooks and welcomed. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Its well hidden but well worth finding.

I have been going to The Empress for about 8 years and the food has never disappointed. Always fresh and delicious and if you ask, they will make you something special and as hot or as mild as you like. The owners are always there ready to welcome new and old clients alike, the decor is upbeat, with a bar. A must for Indian food lovers.

The Empress Indian, at first impressions, seems like a slightly above average restaurant - the neat décor and nice bar all contribute to a sense of pleasant calm. What marks it out from the crowd is the simply the food. Good ingredients and, essentially, the ability to combine 'heat' with real flavor. The lamb Skandari is delicious, and the chicken Nazkat is fantastic. It's always refreshing when the flavors aren't disguised by over-spicing.
