Pizza Express

My husband and I arrived at 17:20 on Wednesday 5 April to grab a quick bite. We were sat promptly, and from there it all went down hill. The waiter completely ignored us; he served the table next to us, who were sat after our arrival; he then served two other tables without acknowledging our prescense. He didn't bring water or say, "I'll be with you shortly". Nothing. After ten/fifteen minutes, we left. Never to return.

From making the booking (- for 30 & 15 were children!)staff were friendly & couldn't have been more helpful. We were welcomed & nothing was too much trouble. Service was excellent, food delicious & hot. I cannot recommend this Pizza Express and it's team highly enough. Great central location - with a great team running it - huge thanks for making a great afternoon for us on the 18/7/10.

we were not greeted well on arrival, no smile just a point to a seat.waiting a long time to order, burnt food. waited ages for plates to be cleared after eating. staff were to busy chattin an laughin and joking. very dissapointed we have been to many pizza express an had fantastic service,however this reataurant had zero customer service. one customer had to go get his own black pepper!the staff were so busy chatting!the waiter then in jest said oh there are customers across the room who need pepper too. i am sure being so well placed tourists keep that place going if they had to rely on regular custom they would struggle.it will not stop me visiting my favourite pizza express in southport however i will think twice before going to one unknown to me.
