Designed to reflect its surroundings, this modern venue is perfectly placed in the centre of a very exciting area of London. Smollensky's Canary Wharf overlooks the Inner Dock, and is nestled beneath One Canada Square and its super-structures.
Smollensky's is one of those rare places that manages to offer something for nearly everyone but this particular restaurant is also great for business lunches and after-work drinks.
The modern American menu includes long-time favourites like Blackened Shrimp for starters and mains such as burgers, pan-roasted salmon and an array of steaks for which it is justly celebrated, but they have started to move away from strictly American fare into international territory too with dishes like chicken skewers with a soy bean sauce, Poached Salmon and rosemary pasta , Cajun jambalaya & Corn-fed chicken wrapped in bacon served with chateau potatoes.
The desserts are all made by their patiserie chef at their sister restaurant Smollenskys on the Strand and should be finished off with any one of a fine selection desserts wines.
The bar on the ground floor is warm and friendly, the bartenders are hugely knowledgable and always welcoming, whether it’s a girls night out or an after work drink you will find your needs catered for.
Outside the bar sits the iconic Reuters Plaza with its daytime hustle and bustle and nighttime vibrancy. The bar benefits from an extensive seating and table area, the perfect place to people-watch while you sink a glass of vino or one of Smollensky’s speciality cocktails.
Stop by for a quick bite or sit and watch the sun go down on the wharf, it truly is the best place to wind down.

I recently ate at Smollensky's Canary Wharf and was shocked at how mediocre the food was given that it is totally overpriced. My starter was terrible - one could argue it was possibly okay if paying less than a pound for the dish. The salad that accompanied the scallops was disgusting. The scallops were the smallest I have ever seen in my life. The steak was far from tender and the sauce was one of the worst sauces I have experienced in years anywhere. Overall this restaurant is far too expensive and food is far too plain. A steakhouse has to be incredibly good and this is one of the worst. Need to get some new chefs I think.
