My wife and I just moved from the States to London. On day two of our 2 year stint we couldn't wait any longer: We needed some of "the best Indian food in the world ... except for India of course" - something people keep telling us about London. Why we chose Masala Zone? Why choose a chain? Not sure. But when we arrived the place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

We waited only 5 mins and were seated towards the rear of the restaurant. The ambiance, although not particularly authentic Indian, is nice. We started with Samosas and ordered a 2-dish Thali platter (assortment of two curries, two veg, two this, and two that) for entree. The food was tasty: Everything was fresh, cooked appropriately, and seasoned well. The portions were also impressive. In fact, next time we will share a single-dish thali instead of the double.

And so yes, there is indeed another dining experience for us at Masala ZONE. However, since we are brand spanking new to London, we're not sure if the price was right. We paid 28 pounds for one app, one entree, and two drinks. Seems a little steep to us ... but I have a feeling we better get used to it.

I had possibly the best Indian in London at Masala Zone. The thali was delicious with plenty of food and great value. My partner and I ate for less than £22! Highly recommend the lassis to accompany your meal. I cannot wait for the weathe rot get better so we can sit on the outside terrace.
