Yuzu

I have been to Yuzu again (last Friday) and had a great night out. Our waiter was very competent, quick and friendly. Food came out very smoothly and was absolutely amazing!

I go to Yuzu frequently for BOTH the food and the service. Ever wondered why they can offer high quality Japanese food at such reasonable prices...? Get real guys, market economics; if you want quicker service (more waiters) and more space, go to N..u and pay 5x more.

Have been to Yuzu many times - and we go for the food not the service! After the initial frustration of there only being 2 waiting staff on a full (but small) restaurant and each of them taking orders from 2 tables that were seated after we were, our order was taken and we started to relax.
The food was brought reasonably quickly - we ordered quite a few dishes so they were just brought to the table as and when they were ready which was perfect. As always, the food was excellent, especially the mackerel and black cod in miso from the grill, deep fried shrimps and the spinach salad.
Highly recommend the food here, it's the best Japanese we've found.

Booked a table for four on a friends recommendation and was blown away, I work in soho and regulary eat at itsu, yo sushi and satsuma and I can say that the food is better on all accounts, we ate sashimi (so fresh, salmon wasn't greasy like yo's), tempura - the batter was delicate and prawns were huge. Nigiri and maki also great, then came out the duck salad (an absolute must) and then we had chicken and beef teriyaki with cloud like fluffy rice. And then the bill came, sorry but how cheap. Would pay twice that. We will definatley be going once a month. The interior is nicely designed and well lit to create a cosy intimate eating atmosphere. Can't rate this place higher for the price. Yuzu's food is clearly spoilt by the very uncomfortable atmosphere that is created by the manager. If you enjoy people staring at you all evening with a nasty look and if you enjoy being insulted when you book a table over the phone, then this is a place for you. The heavy pressure you feel on your back makes it difficult to enjoy fully the good dishes they serve.
This place used to be great when they had a proper manager.

I have tried twice to get a table at Yuzu and never managed it so got a delivery the other night. It was a Thursday but turned up well within the hour and was all excellent. The sushi was beautifully made and the rice was perfect; yakisoba was delicious and not too soggy. I am trying to get a table to eat in now!

I ahve been to yuzu a couple of times now and in addition to others users ahve to say that the service is awful. An indication of this is displayed by the fact that rice did not arrive with main meals and six main courses came to our table our the period fo an hour. Poor. Poor. poor. Food was quite nice though when iteventually arrived

I have been to Yuzu a good few times now, and each time I have had the most terrible service. On my first visit the redstaurant staff put it down to the fact that they had just opened, but now after being open for so long - surely they should have sorted out these problems? But they certainly have not. The staff obviously don't care - and perhaps they believe they do not need to, because the place is always so packed. Saying that - once you have managed to book a table (having been left on hold for ages, and then passed from one person to another) and eventually have placed your order and then finally received your food - well it is pretty good. Almost worth the wait and hassle!

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. The delivery can be a bit of a wait, but well worth it. We tried the restaurant for the first time last night and had a lovely time. Very friendly and the atmosphere is not what you would expect from Fortune Green.The food at the restaurant surpassed our expectations, even though the take away food we've had has been great. You should book a few days in advance as they seem to be busy most nights. Great all around!

Good food- AWFUL service- they dont return messages to confirm bookings- and always put you on hold when you try to place an order for take away- shame as the food is worth trying.....DONT oRDER IN!!!!

Great food, but slightly disorganised. take aways can take well in excess of an hour, so order early!!!

Yuzu is fantastic with food on a par with the very best West End Japanease restaurants. It is reasonably priced with great service and a good atmosphere. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
