The Walpole offers outstanding value, quality and service. This is a home from home. In the mornings (Mon-Sat) you have a cafe that serves good quality breakfast fayre, with a genuine focus on the ingredients. This is what you should expect as both the owners are ex-Conran employees. A Friday and Saturday night sees The Walpole transform into a British restaurant of the highest order. Offering a 2 or 3 course option and a balanced wine list alongside (ranging from £20-50 a bottle), you are presented with a huge task to try and eat 3 courses. My advice dont. Enjoy the effort and time they put into their food and share a starter and pud with your dinner dates. The menu in the evening is rich, simple, classic and prepared food. The chef spends the day sourcing ingredients from suppliers of quality (3 week hung steak, Romney Marsh Lamb, British Asparagus etc) and then loving marinating, blending and making the perfect sauce to come along side.
Enjoy The Walpole. I beieve it is rare to go anywhere now in London, eat quality food and a good bootle of wine all for under £75, you can here.
The Walpole is a very popular local restaurant serving delicious British cuisine to an admiring local crowd.
