We had lunch in Cafe Rouge on a Saturday in October before the theatre. We (5 of us) were greeted by an extremely helpful and friendly waiter and taken to a table by the window. The service was excellent and quick. The food and wine were of a good standard and very reasonable. The overall experience was very positive and we left on a very high note. Well done Cafe Rouge!

Yesterday I went for dinner with my friends to the Café Rouge of Covent Garden and we had such a nice time I felt the urge to write a good review this morning. We were greeted by this very nice guy who spoke Italian, I think his name is Flavio, who was so welcoming we felt as though dinning at home. We took a cake with us, because it was one of our friends birthday, and the staff put the candles on and after dinner they dimmed the lights and in came Flavio with the cake singing “happy birthday”. They also provided plates and cutlery. My friend was so happy...and we had such a nice time!
If you want to know about the food, it was great, really good steaks (this coming from an Argentine who knows what good meat tastes like!) and at very reasonable prices. I would really recommend this venue to anyone!

Appalling service at Covent Garden! Asked to sit outside as lots of tables free and it was a nice evening. Waiter (with attitude) brought out menus and then disapeared inside, never to be seen again! Sat waiting for 20 minutes without even a drink and nobody came to take our order. Could see waiter through window and he was just collecting empty glasses and talking to staff. In the end we got up and left. WIll NEVER go back, disgusted!

Excellent friendly, charming service - you want to take them home with you! Such good prices for SUPERB cooking - really puts the usual West End rip-off to shame. No gimmicky ingredients or presentation - just very good food. I had the Poulet Breton and can't wait to try the rest of the menu! Vive le Cafe Rouge!

Had a meal here last night. The food was good, I had the 12oz Grande Steak which was pretty good.
A good place for a quick bite to eat, not a place for special occasions.
