We've had takeaway orders from Jaffna House on several occasions and every time it has been consistently good.
The food is definitely authentic (I'm Sri Lankan) and really reminds me of home cooking.
The mutton rolls take top honours with all of the different kothu roti flavours a close second.
You can be waiting a little while for takeaway orders as they obviously favour the restaurant customers but I've never waited more than 15 mins. I guess that may be a long time for the 'yoof' to wait when they expect everything instantly.

Do not go to this restaurant! I have not had a worse take-away in my entire life! My girlfriend and I used to work at St Georges and would walk past the restaurant every day and remember the nice smell coming from the kitchen, so decided to give it a go last Friday. After arriving on time I was told my food would be ready in 5 mins, after being ignored for 15 mins I politely asked when my food would be ready and was again told 5 mins. The first time a member of staff approached me however, was not to apologise for the wait but to tell me that there was no more keema naan and instead of substituting another naan they had just removed it from the order, and if I wanted another it would add another 10 mins wait. By this time I had been waiting 25 mins and had stood up to leave when my food appeared.

It only took 10 mins to get home but the food was already freezing cold, the naan they did manage to make was burnt and cold, as was the chicken. The lamb in the Dhansak came in pieces as small as peas and seemed to be made entirely of grisle. The Vadai were bad value for 80p which, I think, is an accomplishment, they were inedible! I have never reviewed a restaurant before, good or bad, but I could not keep quiet about how terrible this place is, unless being greeted by rude, disinterested staff in a bleak tiled room that smells of burnt curry, bleach and body odour is you cup of tea!

I have had take away from here several times.
The food is amazingly inexpensive and very tasty.
Try the mutton kothu, coconut rice, chicken korma...delicious!
