La Menara is a warm and welcoming restaurant serving good Moroccan cuisine in the cosy dining room at the back, with the front area reserved mainly for people drinking and smoking hubbly bubbly.

Though the food quality is above average, watch out for the following pit falls and hidden costs:
1) The menu needs to be more precise. When clarfications were requested to the errors, they were brushed aside under the excuse of mis-print.
2) The pitta bread and humus was offered under the pretex of complimemtary items and then charged in the bill.
3) The special lunch menu on their web-site is advertised as £5 but on the actual menu on the site, the same is at £5.75.
4) The option/s on the menu is served without consulting the customer.
5) The service is not customer focused. The break up of the bill was given with arrogance with the remark by the manager " I am here to sell only".
I would never go to this place again, even if it is the last eatery on earth.

An absolute pleasure eating here - very comfy and cosy atmosphere (even though it was empty - great for us!) Fab food and really pleasant service. Horrid to think it may not be around for much longer. First time we've eaten there and I really hope it won't be the last

Thank you so much to all the staff at La Menara Restaurant we had a wonderful time dining there last night. The food was out of this world, great atmosphere and the owner/manager Rasheed is a wonderful host. I will definitley be going there to eat again 10/10

We had booked a table here on a Saturday based upon reviews. We had also wanted there to be belly dancing as had been advertised. I rang the restaurant who initially said it was at a certain time then was told there would be a surcharge. There had also been a 15% discount if we booked vir their website. None of these happened and the place was empty. The decoration was good and the food was ok however the disappointment of the night was underlined when we given vouchers for a taxi which taxi did not accept. We felt thoroughly ripped off and would not go back

very nice place, relaxing seats and couches, service was imppecable, nice atmosphere over all,but the real thing that blew us away was the food as we've been to many moroccan places before, but the food in la menara is really authentic ,tasty and fresh, now we become regulars and we are even planing our christmas party there, keep up the good work guys.

I went to La Menara with two friends who are meat-eaters although I am a vegetarian. I enjoyed my food very much, as did my friends. Service was patchy but the food and comfortable couches made up for that as the atmosphere was very relaxed and we never felt rushed to finish and leave. I also found the prices to be very competitive for the food ordered.

Go to La Menara at your own risks!
The staff is unfriendly, the manager even worse!
We felt so unwelcome, the food was not all served at the same time and was burnt, and we got ripped off!
Well... the decor was nice, that was the only positive thing!

Fist time at La Menara - The service was very pleasant and the interior was authentic Moroccan style. However the food was a complete let down 2/10 – The starter prawn pastries were burnt and had to ask for dips. While the main meal Lamb Tangier was not fresh at least 2 days old, over cooked not in a clay oven due to the fact one side of the leg of lamb was dry and inedible, plus it was cooked in a chicken sauce (the bits of chicken floating around gave it away) – The baby chicken with rice was also very dry too absolutely no taste. The restaurant needs to sack the existing chief and get a new one who can cook. I could cook 10 times better and I’m not Moroccan!
