The myriad of art designed rooms at sketch are the brainchild of Mourad Mazouz, who also runs North African restaurant Momo. The Lecture Room & Library, the venue’s gastronomic dining restaurant, received its second Michelin star in 2012.
The dining room is flashy and technicolour, expanding upon the awe-inspiring design of sketch - with toilets decorated with thousands of Swarovski crystals as well as egg-shaped cubicles. The menu is modern French, with flavours as bold and imaginative as the décor.

Sketch Lecture Room & Library Picture Gallery

Our favourite venues for dinner and a dance
Full stomach? Now let's hit the floor...
The jaw-dropping décor alone at Sketch makes it worth a visit; in fact the building was once used as Christian Dior’s atelier. Run by Mourad Mazouz, the man behind Momo, it received its first Michelin star in 2005. There are three separate dining rooms ranging from the expensive to the more affordable, and DJs play in the Gallery till the early hours.
London's best spots for Afternoon Tea
Find out where to get the best brew in town here.
Sketch and its Parlour room come straight out of the court of Louis XV. This is the only place in town where it’s acceptable to indulge in sticky fingered fun and clotted cream covered faces without feeling rude. The quality of the dainty sandwiches and pastries is sublime but this Sketch is all about the luxury of a palatial cup of tea. Monsieur, with these scones, you’re really spoiling us.
London venues with the Wow-Factor!
In our continued search to bring you the best bits of London we've cranked the dial up to 11.
The Parlour at Sketch turns into a cocktail bar from 6pm till 2am, although it’s members-only after 9pm. So head in early and soak up the visual spectacular. Eccentric, decadent and refined. And once you’re politely asked to leave the Parlour, you can stroll the short distance to the Glade where evening cocktails are served until 2am. Trust us, you won’t be leaving Sketch without giving a wow.
London's best molecular food
For the very smallest of appetites?
The food is as imaginative as the décor at Sketch. Pierre Gagnaire’s creations include dishes inspired by his favourite perfume, and his flair earned the restaurant its second Michelin star in 2012.
Restaurants with the best Tasting Menus in London
Strap yourself in and prepare to taste
Pierre Gagnaire’stasting menus focus on textures and smells as much as on flavour. The 7 course selection is £95, with a separate option for vegetarians.
Best venues for a celebration
Let the good times roll.
There are three restaurants and two bars within Sketch, all with stunning design. The Lecture and Library Room boasts two Michelin stars, and the Parlour turns into a cocktail bar in the evening. Don’t miss a visit to the egg-shaped cubicles in the toilets.
London's most beautiful restaurants
We list the beauts
In terms of visuals it’s hard to pick just one restaurant at Sketch, as each space has been individually designed by a leading artist. In the case of the two Michelin-starred Lecture Room& Library, Gahban O’Keeffe has created a stunning room in rich reds, yellows and browns that’s as muchof an incentive to visit as the food.
London's most expensive restaurants
It doesn't hurt to push the boat out
Pierre Gagnaire’s superb menu (langoustine tartare with salmon eggs and vodka granita, foie gras ice cream with tandoori – need we say more?) is served in an amazing technicolour dining room that looks like a Dali painting if he’d been born in Nairobi instead of Figueres.
London's Most Opulent Buildings
Buildings with bling
That Swarovski-studded bathroom, those egg-shaped cubicles, the idiosyncratic restaurants…Each area of Sketch is so lavishly decorated they’re practically immersive experiences, but it’s only fitting for what was once Christian Dior’s London atelier. Look out for little details like the toilet door handles shaped like women’s legs.

Visiting the toilets will be quite boring for me from now on ha ha
The menu was quite extensive and had some unusual items on it which made you want to try them just for curiousity purposes.
It would be fair to say it was not cheap and that some of the portions were small however there was quite alot of little things so i felt this more than made up for that.
Also as you did not have to have set afternoon tea options you could choose your own sandwiches/cakes etc.
I feel that going to Sketch is more about the whole experience and it did not disapoint at all.
I will definately be taking my friends there as they will love it, i probably wont feel the buzz/experience about the place having already been there, however the food etc was lovely so that will be fine.
