Wow, what more can you ask for I have been eating out at Red Rose for a couple years now. This place has it all usual dishes plus more that you would expect, traditional decor with great friendly helpful staff, specially the manager... ...lol

The food here is fantastic! never ever have I had Indian food like this and i've been eating it for a little while .
The menu is simple and the food is very tasty, . I had he king prawn bhoona... loved it
I can see why this place is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in London and not had to sell out. like so many other Indian restaurants.

Ordered off the menu that came through the door. Dissatisfied is the word. Prices fairly standard for takeaway in the area. Curry was extremely greasy and fairly bland. Avoid!

Me and my significant other visit the Red Rose once a week. Both loving our curries, we are never disappointed. The prices are very reasonable. The attentive but down to earth 'human' customer service is just what you need in the community. The food is always interesting and flavoursome and they put alot of chillies in if you want them! On the odd occasion a dish we order will arrive at the table looking a little different from the last time we had it, but it always tastes so good we don't really mind and if you want a dish done in a particular way they are more than happy to make the effort.

The interior is nice and kitsch, not clinical, and the seating is comfy. The owner's pride is admirable ;) and it is evident from the owner's conversation, and in the array of public relations and awards on the walls that he takes pride in the establishment. We prefer the Red Rose to the plethora of other restaurants in the area. We seem to have memorised the soundtrack they put on almost off by heart :P Just a pleasant experience for winding down at the end of the week.

A last point to mention is that the lighting at the Red Rose is sympathetic and toned - no glaring spotlights.

Would definitely recommend.

I thought I'd give it a try being as I have just moved in up the road from the Red Rose. I've eaten loads of fantastic Indian food in my time both in the UK and abroad so expectations were high.. The food was excellent and great value for money. They use top ingredients and have passion for their food.

From the high street it looks like just another average restaurant but check it out - you won't be disappointed. Friendly staff too.

I have eaten take away from this resturant for over two years. Twice a month food is lovely but recently the service has been terrible. I telphoned and was asked for my post code then told hour and thirty mintues before I even told the man my order. Then he told me to hold, so that he could answer the other telephone to take some one elses order. While this was happing I was cut off. I phoned back and told the man that I had just been cut off and was told, 'no were not taking your order were to busy'. I am discussed and shocked at my treatment, I spend a lot of money at this restrant and this is the way loyal customers are treated so be warned.
