We (a married couple) have been to this restaurant around 4 times and have ordered out 2 times because of the very deliciously different food. Our first dish we ordered was Bengal Roast. And this dish was ordered more than once by us. It is very aromatic. Although the the wait is pretty long at times it is worth waiting. Service is fabulous. But i wouldn't reccoment anyone to buy the fresh apple juice. The best thing about this place is having the private booths upstairs, where we can eat in privacy. Also food is HMC certified.

I've been to this place about 5/6 times with my family and its a bit hit and miss. 2 out of my six visits the service and food has been below poor. We waited over an hour the most recent time for food to arrive and when it finally did I wish we have just left before they bothered.

The location is great and the fact that it's right below the the Masjid is brilliant too but I think they exploit that fact as the waiters aren't always around when you want service so you have to shout out to them to get their attention.

I'd recommend they try to keep their service constant check the chefs

I have been here 3 to 4 times. Met my in laws first time here so this restaurant is special for me.

Price is cheaper than other restaurants in Bricklane area and has better location given that you can park behind East London mosque after 1830. Besides being HMC I think they cook really good food. The last time our grilled fish was poorly presented and my wife wasn't impressed even with the boiled egg that surprisingly came with the fish.
But overall I would recommend it. Although the place seems rather less lively.

I booked during Ramadan as it can get very crowded. They allowed me to go off on break for prayers and come back to finish the food. The waiters are good and always present nearby when needed.

The only complain I have is that they for confused me for my friend when while waiting, when my friend arrived they thought I was some random person occupying the reserved table. Very rudely in front of 50+ people I was told to go to the "singles" area. Four days later I still can't shake the feeling off even though they apologised twice for the mistake.

Nevertheless It is a nice restaurant if you avoid the rush hours as it is right next to the London Mosque and can get crowded right after prayer times.

I've been here twice with my husband we love the fact that theres no alcohol unlike the restaurants along brick lane. This time I chose to have a Bangledeshi fish it was amazing, Ive already had this fish in Bham once but it wasnt as nice as this one, the spices were delicate& the fish had been grilled as requsted. The service is really good& the staff are ever so friendly, its always busy with Bangledeshi clients so you know the food must be good. Its well priced to, lovely for a family or for anyone!

Good service, a vareity of food and the food tastes good plus its HMC certified halal unlike others who are not like New Tayyabs. I like the family rooms makes it more enjoyable to have our own space.

My first visit to Baraka, I questioned the decor, and the Sign at the front wasn't very noticeable, as it mellowed with the Brick wall. A little empty on some occasstions. However, to compensate the customer service is excellent. As a Bangladeshi, I've tried many different restaurants and expect the standards of my Mum's cooking. None have still met them. But Baraka are on a different level. Which is almost as good. They do Indian, Bangladeshi and Mediterranean, and all are delicious, and generous amounts, the Mediterranean aren't as good as other places, but it's good for people who want choice. I took Chinese friends who have never tried Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine before, and have absolutely loved it. I ALWAYS recommend them to my friends, so far I've been almost 10 times now and still love it, and get excited when I know I'm going near Whitechapel. Because I will choose Baraka over Maeda, New Tayabbs, and the restaurants down Brick Lane. Keep up the good job.
