I went there last Saturday, every single food was absolutely salty. I felt sick after dinner. Very disappointed. Never ever again.

One of my favourite places to eat and much much better than the more expensive places the trendys like to be seen in Turkish eateries on nearby Upper Street. I love the pirzola (lamb chops) but really you cannot go wrong with the food, always fresh and served with a smile. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. My partner even got a Beyti shirt to wear, not that I think they would really want him helping them out - they are far too good to put up with an amature like him. Great value and a great night out.

This restaurant was reccommended by a friend about a year ago and since then I make regular (at least monthly) trips here, taking any friends or family who are visiting, they even have a decent vegetarian choice.

The starters are delicious and I usually go for Borek (light pastries) Kofte (meatballs) Dolma (stuffed vine leaves) and too many more to mention!

A particular reccomandation for main courses are the speciality kebabs, served with layers of meat, bread, yoghurt and sauces ranging from mild to wild!

The service is excellent and I would have no hesitation in announcing this to be the best Turkish Restaurant in Green Lanes!

NB, best to book on Saturday evenings but if you don't mind the wait the staff will come and find you when a table is ready if you go for a drink across the road!

Top marks!

I live quite close to this place and have tried virtually every Turkish restaurant in Green Lanes, Dalston and Upper Street. This one is head and shoulders above the rest, on many counts.

I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Enjoy, but don't all rush at once, as I still want to be able to get a table on a Friday night!!

A really good traditional Turkish restuarant. It only small, probably seats about 35 people. it is clean...There a good selection of starters and main courses all very authentic and none are too expensive.. service is good and staff pleasant. We had a meal for 3 with mezi as starter £6.00 and a main course each. Max price was £9.50 for the mixed grill and a couple of drinks each .. total bill came to abot £45... I live out side of london, but when ever i am in this area i alway use this place. Lots of regulars. which is a good sign.... many Turkish, another good sign....... Also as you go along Green Lanes, you will find several Turkish Restuarants... This is the only one you will find constantly busy.... if i could find any way to knock this place, i would suggest a lick of paint.... Great value
Have your say
