This is one of the best noodle houses ANYWHERE. My wife and I live in Wolverhampton, but are willing to get on a train down to London to eat here (We love London anyway, so it's a bonus)! Food costs the same as up here, and the portions are really big! Absolutely delicious. Always a part of itinery for London visits now.

The portions are huge!
One of the best food spots in Greenwich, great value for money.

This, in my humble opinion, is one of the best noodle bars in London. I recently had a debate with a friend in which he insisted Wagamamas is amazing, to which I vehemently denied. He is one of those types who prefers to go to 'branded' eateries and wouldn't dare venture into somewhere unfamiliar.
I was introduced to Tai Won Mein Greenwich by my Mum who used to work for the DLR and she knew all the best places in the Docklanda. I first went there at about 13, and now I'm 23 and still visiting regularly, even making the two-train trek just for their noodles.
The prices are excellent, literally half of what you pay in Wagamamas and portions are twice the size. The restaurant itself is nothing to look at but sometimes it's fun to get a window seat and watch Greenwich bustle by.
I have probably tried most of the dishes there, but I tend to stay away from soup noodles as I'm not a fan. My all time favourite is roast pork and duck with fried noodles. As mentioned before, the plates are huge but over my 10 years as a loyal customer, I have trained myself to clear the whole plate. In the rare occasions that I struggle, they'll give you a box to take home your leftovers. They do a delicious deep fried squid which is always perfectly cooked and delicious. They do lovely freshly made apple, carrot and orange juices which always compliment the noodles nicely. And the best part? You'll never spend more than a tenner. If your in Greenwich, it's a must. If not, make the effort to visit, then have a nice wander round Cutty Sark, the Thames and Greenwich Market.
