Four Regions

Like the previous reviewer, we have been going to the Four Regions for years and always found it excellent whether for family meals or adults. The food is very good and the service cannot be faulted. Again, I would say it is easily a match for the best in China town and also many restaurants I have visited in Asia.

I don't know where the person who wrote the previous comment ate, but it certainly wasn't Four Regions. I have been going there for years and still I haven't come across better Chinese food, even the best in Chinatown can't compare. The food is exquisit and the service is faultless. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

A bland, but rather pretentious environment offering even blander food.

Four Regions' cuisine, at least in our experience, is a far cry from what one would expect in an authentic Chinese setting, i.e. unimaginative one might, indeed, say 'ordinary' to a fault!

The only remarkable thing, given the very high prices charged by this establishment, are its meagre portions. For example, one of our starters was meant for two people yet was barely enough for one. The price of this, vegetarian, dish was a few pennies short of £20. The actual cost of its ingredients, however, could hardly have been more than £2 to £3!

In all, a very disappointing - never to be repeated - experience!
