I had the misfortune to visit this establishment yesterday 29.09.2010.
Three courses, of tasteless soup, tasteless curries and yes you guessed it tasteless dessert.
The food was barely warm and the service very poor.
The wine was also very poor.
An experience never to be repeated.
It appears our experience repeats one of the previous reviews listed for 2008!!! This business obviously pays no regard to poor feedback or cannot get its house in order.
Don't get caught out at Chambelli, vote with your feet as there are plenty of better restaurants nearby.

This restaurant was recommended to me and as this was my first visit to London my party were looking forward to this meal. Sadly I found nothing to recommend about this particular establishment, it was not busy when we arrived as this was a pre theatre meal for us so we gave ourselves plenty of time. Sorry but the service was below average, we asked if they could book us a taxi to collect us to go to our show as we knew going by the time we would most likely be late for curtain up, but they refused. The meal was supposedly for three people but once again no way....food was tasteless and we are still waiting for a jug of iced water. The girls were disappointed and so was I to say the least. It was expensive for the garbage they served us and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a first class Indian meal. I don't rate this eaterie on any scale.

I have been lucky enough to visit London once or twice a year since 1997…I enjoyed a meal at this restaurant then and every trip since. In fact, the journey would not be complete without some spicy vandeloo from Chambelli. I find the food and variety to be excellent, the service better than average and the prices fair. It is also in a splendid location with plenty of other places to visit and things to do in the neighborhood.
