London Zoo provides a great day out with a family friendly atmosphere. Set in the heart of Regents Park, it has been entertaining visitors of all ages with a collection of over 800 hundred animals as well as some fantastic shows and interactive experiences for over 150 years.
From the classic penguin feeding time to the insightful talks held in an authentic living rainforest there really is something for everyone to enjoy. There are fun and games galore to be had in the kid’s zone including a range of special exhibits designed to be as informative as they are exciting. Children are free to explore a treetop village; a secret underground world as well as the ‘Touch Zone’ which provides a safe environment for them interacts with all of their favourite creatures.
Get closer to the animals than ever before when you ‘Meet the Monkeys’ in the biggest enclosure of its kind in Britain. Take an urban safari through the open plan area where nothing stands between you and the Bolivian blacked-capped squirrel Monkeys in their natural habitat.

Land Of The Lions
Land of the Lions opened in Spring 2016 and provides state of the art facilities for a breeding group of endangered Asiatic lions, of which only 500 remain in the wild.
New family adventure at ZSL London Zoo will celebrate animals and their superpowers

KAPOW! This Easter, ZSL London Zoo is inviting everyone to discover the incredible world of animal superheroes and their powers - with a new experience for the whole family to enjoy.
As part of ZSL’s 2018 Superhero Takeover, from Friday 30 March to Sunday 15 April, kids will be able to embark on a self-guided Superpowers Trail around the Zoo, discovering real life animals with heroic superskills.
WHAM! Find out why lemurs let off stink bombs, or discover how the mysterious axolotl regrows its limbs; try to fade into the background using a tiger’s camouflage, or pit yourself against one of the world’s strongest species – the leafcutter ant.
Children of all ages will be given a special comic book packed with fun activities to guide them on this exciting new animal adventure, which has interactive activities at each stop, before heading to Superhero HQ to complete their mission with some super-themed games.
Dress up with Capes of Confusion, where pulling on different capes will help you hide from predators, float like a butterfly in search of ultraviolet flowers in Rainbow Rabble, or invite the whole family to help you Snag a Snack by catching sticky insects in your very own web.
WHOOOSH! Once youngsters have earned superhero status they can spend the rest of the day exploring the world-famous Zoo, discovering even more about the 19,000 super-animals who call it home.
The trail is part of ZSL’s 2018 Superhero Takeover, a year-long celebration of incredible wildlife and the ZSL superheroes working to protect animals both at home and around the world.
