Where: Little Ben, Victoria Station
Big Ben may be the city's most instantly recognisable landmark, but few people know there is in fact a smaller version of the clocktower near Victoria station. But while it looks strikingly similar to its namesake, a closer look and an expert eye reveal plenty of differences in the design.
It was unveiled in 1892 and was originally painted green, while today it is black with gold detailing (roses and gilt work featuring a small representation of Father Time. The clock had to be moved for restoration for periods of time, but was returned to its current location in 2016, where it stands out among the surrounding identikit office buildings.
