Where: Borough Yards
Borough Yards is the name of another retail regeneration project, in this case located next to chef favourite Borough Market. This new shopping centre occupies former warehouses and railway arches that have been transformed into double-height retail spaces that include restaurants, high end shops and offices.
In practice this means that beloved eateries like Vinoteca and Spanish tapas bar Barrafina have new homes here; there is also an Everyman Cinema, several upmarket beauty stores and most curiously, Old Maps Library, a shop that specialises in the reproduction of old maps from between the 17th and 19th centuries.
