Walk on water on the Tower Bridge glass floor

A unique view of the Thames
This must try is connected to: Tower Bridge

London’s most beautiful bridge just got more exciting: a glass floor elevated 42 metres above the Thames allows visitors to see the river and the goings-on of the bridge from a unique vantage point. Moreover, if you time your visit carefully you’ll even be able to see the bridge lift beneath your feet.

The glass panes that make up the walkway are five layers deep and weigh half a tonne, so unsurprisingly it took an army of 20 people to build.

The walkway’s unveiling coincides with Tower Bridge’s 12th anniversary – it was opened by King Edward VII in 1894.
