Stuck for something new to read and don’t have a clue where to start? Well, if Fifty Shades of Grey has put you off the usual best-sellers’ lists, take a gander in London’s most magical bookshop, Treadwells, where you’ll find a dedicated section to tales of folklore, witchcraft, mythology, ancient religions, druidry and paganism.

And they don’t stop there, you’ll find stacks of other leather-bound reads from collections of spells to children’s magic - and just to add to the ambience, you can purchase yourself herbs and incense as well as wands, silver chalices and even old parchment.

Make sure you eyeball the display cabinets – you never know what weird and wonderful things you might find. There are even tarot readings available, if you’re in the mood…
