Burmese samosas and fritters at Mandalay Burmese Restaurant

If you've never eaten Burmese then this is the place to try it...

Mandalay Burmese Restaurant
444 Edgware Road W2 1EG
Raw papaya and cucumber salads, egg and potato samosas, calabash-filled fritters, balachaung (that's a fried dried shrimps, garlic, chilli and onion mix) or ohn-no khaukswe (noodles in coconut gravy) – whatever takes your fancy on this cute Burmese cafe menu, you won't be left disappointed!

The menu is basic but tasty; and has everything you would find in a cafe in Myanmar today. Plus, the staff are friendly and know how to make a good sandwich (with noodles in).

If you're not sure what to try, then just ask the owners – the Ally Brothers are only too happy to go through their ingredients with you.
