Where: King’s Cross viewing platform
Since 2012 the area around King’s Cross station has radically changed: it’s gone from a down-at-heel industrial wasteland to a hotspot for foodies and culture vultures.
From the 20-feet high viewing platform you get a fascinating view of this ever-transforming landscape; as it’s still undergoing massive redevelopment don’t expect things to look the same in three months time. From the eery steeple of St. Pancras station, the old Victorian warehouses and Granary Square with its pretty illuminated water fountains to the gleaming glass-fronted Guardian building and the Shard in the distance, it’s a perfect view of the city’s clash of old and new.
