Watch food as it travels inside you

Strangely compelling...
This must try is connected to: Borough Market

The foodie scientists at Bompas & Parr have unveiled the British Museum of Food at Borough Market. The two masterminds behind this genius exhibition have so far brought us cocktails you can breathe in, a steam ship set in thousands of litres of bright green jelly and a petting café populated by rabbits.

Set over two floors, there’s a video showing how food travels through your gut to your intestines, and on a less gruesome note, you’ll be able to read menus from Victorian times up to the present day, which organisers Sam Bompas and Harry Parr spent almost two years collecting. Even more exciting is the news that they are giving away free chocolate to visitors. It’s open till late January, however this exhibition may become permanent very soon, so watch this space closely.
