The talents of chef Jason Atherton have seen him grow quite a roster of acclaimed restaurants, including Social Eating House and Berners Tavern, as well as eateries in Dubai and Hong Kong. Now his flagship restaurant, Pollen Street Social, has started offering a gourmet menu that has main courses like neeps, tatties and mushroom ragout, and roasted woodland mushroom salad with raw chestnuts and truffle dressing.

Wave goodbye to vegan food’s rep as being nothing but mung beans and tofu, and hello to fine dining meat and dairy-free cuisine in 2016.
