When Borough Wines opened their wine bar in Hackney Downs it was all ‘wine, wine, wine’ and nothing else. Now, we know that wine is tasty but for us, the compact, stylish little space was missing something. Well guess what? L’Entrepot heard our cry and has since cleared out its basement and replaced whatever detritus was lying around with pétanque courts. Not just one, but two courts.
So, next time you fancy drinking fine wines and chucking big metal balls at a little wooden ball, head to L’Entrepot and enjoy a right old time. What’s more, the pétanque is free.
