The concept of surf 'n' turf may have originated in the US, but pop-up maestro Jimmy Garcia is putting a very British stamp on it. All the ingredients will be sourced from Britain, including the steaks for the cote de boeuf and the lobsters.
These will be served with parmentiere potatoes and orange-braised chicory, plus the rest of the five course menu includes grilled mackerel with fish pate and whipped smoked cod's roe on a flatbread with crispy chicken skin. Garcia previously hosted an Alpine-themed eatery serving fondues and game pies, and a summer-inspired BBQ feast with botanical cocktails.
This Surf & Turf summer pop-up will take place at Clapham's The Lodge between August 10th till the 27th.
